ABOUT INTERPRETING SERVICES

Partnership Deaf Services is especially proud of our highly skilled, rigorously trained network of American Sign Language interpreters, which serve businesses and agencies throughout Chattanooga and North Georgia. Our interpreters are available for medical, business, educational, legal, community and religious appointments. Our interpreters are experienced in intimate one-on-one meetings, large presentations, events, and everything in between. We will work with you to effectively communicate with your deaf clients and facilitate a rich understanding of the deaf community.

Conduct business confidently and confidentially with your deaf patrons

Our American Sign Language interpreters act as facilitators, not active members of a discussion, so that individuals may communicate with deaf audiences naturally. We require our interpreters to adhere to a strict code of ethics, deliver a faithful and impartial interpretation, and keep all information--personal, business, or otherwise--confidential. We strive to offer these services to the community at very fair and competitive rates in order to equip businesses and organizations with the tools necessary to serve individuals with hearing loss.

Get expert services from highly qualified interpreters

We value a deaf individual’s right to accurate communication and strive to provide high quality services through capable and accomplished interpreters. The large majority of our ASL interpreters are National Certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). And regardless of certifications, each interpreter undergoes a rigorous screening process before becoming a part of our team. Furthermore, as an entity of the deaf community with decades of experience working with our local members, we aim to match deaf consumers with the most suitable interpreter based on his/her individual linguistic needs and preferences.

Ensure full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) makes it illegal for any business, building or other place that is open to the public to discriminate against people with disabilities. Such places include restaurants, hotels, theaters, doctors' offices, pharmacies, retail stores, museums, libraries, parks, private schools, and day care centers. In order to provide equal access, a public accommodation must provide auxiliary aids and services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing when needed. Most often, providing an ASL interpreter is required of businesses and organizations to remain compliant with the law.

The interpreting services we provide are an essential component of ADA compliance. We can also provide guidance, additional information, and resources regarding the ADA for deaf people and businesses alike.
